Durham, NC - The Durham County Board of Elections has published its 2024 Annual Report, reflecting a year marked by growth and innovation while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.  

This report highlights organizational activity for 2024, such as administering three elections, transitioning to a new consolidated facility, improving election management practices and systems, overcoming unexpected challenges, and more.  

Through comprehensive data collection, the report also details election administration expenses and revenue for the 2024 calendar year, showcasing the funding requirements to execute a quality voting experience for our constituents.  

“We are incredibly excited about the public release of our inaugural annual report,” states Durham County Board of Elections Director Derek Bowens. “Election administration is a challenging yet rewarding field of work and in the spirit of transparency, we wanted to provide the community with an inside look at our organizational activity. We are grateful for the Durham County community and Board of County Commissioners’ continued investment and support of honest, fair, and accurate election administration in Durham County.”
