Durham, NC – The Durham County Board of Elections is pleased to announce the return of the “I Voted” Sticker contest! The contest gives local artists an opportunity to create a new sticker design that will be distributed at polling places beginning with the 2026 Statewide General Election. Contest participants must be at least 17 years old and residents of Durham County. 

Designs must use Durham County’s standard color palette and incorporate Durham County symbols or landmarks, voting-centered themes, or the artist’s perspective on Durham County’s values. To view Durham County’s style guide, click here.

“I Voted” Sticker Contest Submission 

 
All designs must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17th.  

After the submission period closes, the public will participate in an initial round of voting. The 10 designs receiving the most votes will advance to a second round of public voting. The three designs receiving the most votes in the second round will be presented to the Durham County Board of Elections, who will select the winning design. 

The three finalists will receive cash prizes and public recognition. The contest winner will also receive a custom plaque presented during a scheduled Board of Elections meeting.
